LOL.

yes and no. It was one year plus a lot of unknown success happening in the immediate aftermath of the Jimmy Raye firing so you can't put him in the top 10 or 15 after 2 years of pretty solid play after it followed 5 years of mediocrity. If he has another 17-25 TD 5-10 INT 3500 Yard season then you would probably just be hating if you didn't at least put him in the top 15, but that can only happen if he duplicates and improves on his 2011 numbers.

Just like the entire 2011 season I want the entire league to keep putting us down and under the radar just enough, yes we're "immediate super bowl contenders" but they almost always couple it with any of the following "Alex has already hit his ceiling" or "inconsistent QBs" or "but they have terrible OL" or "they need more weapons" or "Frank is slowing down" or "their secondary doesn't have depth" etc etc etc. Please keep coming up with excuses while we continue beat the hell out of teams, you know?

Yes. As I mentioned in the other thread which quotes this list, it is idiotic to include two players who haven't even been drafted yet.
THIS IS THE DUMBEST LIST OF ALL-TIME. Seriously, someone should be held accountable for this atrocious writing-even if they are only opinions. Cam Newton over Phillip Rivers Eli Manning over everyone? Brady is way better and should be #1. Drew Brees is only #4 And then you have this rookie, who never even played a game in the NFL, is ranked higher than a quarterback whose quarterback rating was in the 90's and was one botch fumble away from a superbowl berth. It is not worth getting angry over, but f**k man...

Wow that is really low even I have rated about 15th or 16th best.

Smith lovers are gonna have a heart attack when they read that, lol
Almost as relevant as pre-season power rankings... almost.
You lost me at Aaron Rodgers at #5.

I'm surprised! What does he have to do to get respect?

Smith is average at best, that puts him 15th. The only stats that he is above average at compared to the rest is QB rating and completion percentage, and that comes from making mostly short low risk throws. The QB rating is heavily weighted on TD to INT ratio and his is low because he doesn't make risky throws. Great for stats, but not good converting 3rd and long. Alex was an average QB last year which was a big improvement, but he is nothing more.

Matt Ryan in the top 10? Yeah, sure...

Alex Smith out of the top 15? C'mon. He is undoubtedly better than most starting QBs. Wins, efficiency, rating. You know, those old things.
lol
Mark Sanchez @23?!?! ..... enough said
