What if they have great regular season but get knocked out in the playoffs, was it worth it. Got to think that most of them won't make it to the end of their contracts without either being cut or having to rework them later.

I seriously do not understand this. Guy was an OUTSTANDING player for them and they shipped him off for far, FAR less than he was worth. TERRIBLE move for the Texans, GREAT move for Philly.
I agree
I don't get how they can afford to pay all those guys. Vick got 100 mill djax got 50 Asomugha Asante Samuel Babin all getting paid big bucks
And McCoy is gonna get paid soon

Makes me wish we gave a higher round tender to Grant now.

The Texans must not believe he's the same player after the injury, or that he could return to that level. If, however, his recovery is successful, this is an INCREDIBLE pick up for the Eagles..He's a borderline elite linebacker on a defense sorely needing linebackers...The Eagles are pretty stacked at other positions, although their OLINE isn't what it once was.
I'm saying it right now, if the Eagles fix their problems at linebacker they will be just as much Superbowl contenders as us..I'm a little worried.
This draft needs to net us some playmakers, as well as depth on the Dline. Would love for us to trade out of the 1st and get a guard in the 2nd, then BPA for the rest

How about that The Texans lost Mario Williams to the Bills too. The Eagles are going to be incredibly hard to beat next year and the Texans are going to be much weaker. The NFC is so stacked its absurd. Niners, Eagles, Packers, Saints, Giants...seriously redic.

Ryan's is easily a top 5 MLB when he's healthy. He's dominant.

yea, and if Flynn pans out in Seattle (i personally think it will be a Kolb-ish situation), we r kinda f**ked. I really like the roster Seattle's been fielding, they are a passrusher and QB away from being very good...say, isn't that what was said about us going into 2011?

Texans got more than what they expected from him, they came up from him and walk away with something after an injury.

Makes sense. The Texans were playing him at the TED (or WILL) linebacker, if that's the case they may be looking for more of a thumper than a tackle machine. Hopefully if that is the case it can rule out Larry Grant.

The major problem with the Eagles is having a LT.......they need to address that or they aren't going to be close to the playoffs.
Also I don't think the Eagles have solved their run d problems with one 1 LB, they have problems on their front line. They can rush the passer, but they aren't built to handle big o lines.
So I think the Eagles still have problems.

He's still young. No one comes back strong immediately after an Achilles injury. Before the injury he was as good as anyone in the league... Yes, that includes Mr Willis too.
Even if Ryan's is only 90% this year, he still far better than anyone the Eagles could've drafted.

Ryans is good, and this move was a steal for Philly, but this is crazy talk.

you're ridiculous. demeco was not a top 5 LB at any point in his life. he has gotten worse and worse as he has been in the league. he had a great rookie year and has become a non-factor since then. he won't do anything in philly but i won't stop you if you want to jock him more. just laying out the facts for you!
