The crazy thing is that supposedly some of last year's stronger teams will not be quite as strong this year.

Just think of it this way - if we can win the division and two playoff games we undoubtedly beat the AFC champ, just like the 80s-90s. ;)

They were looking scary good before Cutler and Forte went down. Great defense. They just signed Brandon Marshall. That's a team I wouldn't want to play.

It happens every year.
The Bucs were supposed to rise up after a 10-6 season and then they flopped. The Dream Team collapsed. The Jets were supposed to be awesome. Every year there are surprises and disappointments.

they had a 5 game winning streak, beating the Vikes, Bucs, Eagles, Lions, and Chargers. before that they had lost 3 of 4. after the streak they lost 5 straight.
they're ok, better than their record last year. they should compete for a playoff spot. i mean, they were in the NFCCG the year before. but overall i don't think they're really a title contender right now. you never know, but they're nothing to worry about, IMO.
I definitely agree with your last sentence though.
