no brainer, paper coach.
I could get 7 wins with Peyton manning calling my plays.

Two names wouldn't be surprised to see linked to Colts opening to begin developing QB Andrew Luck: Marty Mornhinweg and ... Greg Roman.
Roman won't leave for another OC position. He's got his heart set on a college HC position and will more then likely be in the running for next seasons NFL HC openings if and when we have another amazing season next year.
i'm pretty sure he means Roman might be a candidate for their HC position.

no doubt. last year I got into a civil arguement with another zoner on how Caldwell was not a good coach. Proof this year. Team totally fall apart. He has no answers.

Peyton should just retire and be the head coach.

If they hire Roman, there is no way they will keep Manning. You don't hire a head coach specifically to mentor the backup for 2+ years.
Hiring Roman would mean they're all in on Luck and will build the entire franchise around him.

Hiring any Westcoast-guy would be enough to be convinced that they will draft Luck and build the franchise around him...But this time, they won't set up a QB"x"-only-system.
