Jackson got power hungry and rubbed players the wrong way. GM just needed to put him in his place.

Joe Philbin is the logical choice but his son dying could make him not want to leave right now.

Wow, total surprise...didn't see this until next year at the earliest. Then, why listen to HJ and make that outrageous trade for Palmer if you're not gonna keep the HC afterwards? Raiders FO seems to be regretting the trade and HC hiring...top it off with what appears to be a lot of doubts and indecisiveness and that'll set them back a few more years right there. Also, will negatively affect the locker room with the quick coaching turnaround, too.
I love it!

had to be done. Hue was a cancer and would never be happy with anything less than total control. it wouldn't have worked. plus he was a crappy coach.

I agree

Adam Schefter @AdamSchefter
The two candidates to watch in Oakland are Packers asst. HC Winston Moss and Packers secondary coach Darren Perry.

Not all that surprised. With Davis out of the picture, it became possible to move that dinosaur of a franchise into the new world. Jackson was a stop-gap at best. That team has a lot of talent and Jackson was better than Cable but neither of them had the knowledge to really take advantage of the talent on the squad.
Big question now is: What to do with Palmer? He cost and arm and a leg but is clearly the same QB he has been the last 4 years as opposed to the promise he showed before his knee injury.

Who's winston
This makes sense because of the new gm. But do they even keep palmer now? I think so

ESPN's Adam Schefter mentioned Packers ILBs coach Winston Moss & Packers safeties coach Darren Perry as possible Hue Jackson replacements.

On Saturday @JasonLaCanfora reported Winston Moss may replace Hue Jackson (fired today) as Raiders HC.
Looks like we could have a front runner.
