Talked with Packer employees and friends of Philbins. Body found in river was Michael Philbin's. So terribly sad.

Maybe the father of the girls he tried to rape got their hands on him

He tried to rape girls ?

Green Bay – The son of Green Bay Packers offensive coordinator Joe Philbin pleaded not guilty Thursday to sexually assaulting two 16-year-old girls at the family's home in August.

Michael T. Philbin, 18, was in the Brown County Courthouse to answer four misdemeanor charges – two counts of sexual intercourse with a child, and two counts of battery. He faces a maximum of nine months in prison for each count. Philbin is due back in court on March 13.

Joe Philbin, who is entering his seventh season as an offensive assistant to coach Mike McCarthy, was not in court, according to his son's attorney, Craig Albee. Philbin and his wife, Diane, have six children. Michael is the second-oldest.

Albee is a partner in the Milwaukee firm of Glynn, Fitzgerald & Albee. Stephen Glynn, Albee's partner, successfully represented former Packers wide receiver James Lofton in the mid-1980s against a second-degree sexual assault charge. Albee said he did not have further comment on the Philbin case.

The Packers, through a spokesman, released a statement.

"We have been aware of the situation involving coach Joe Philbin's family for some time. We consider this to be a family matter and will continue to respect the privacy of the Philbin family."

Joe Philbin did not offer a personal comment after it was requested through the Packers.

According to the criminal complaint, Michael Philbin, who was 17 at the time, hosted a party at the family's Sonoran Court home near Southwest High School on the evening of Aug. 21. The Packers flew to Denver that day to play the Broncos the next evening in an exhibition game.

One of the victims said that after passing out from intoxication, Philbin "performed an act of sexual intercourse against her will," in the family's living room.

The second victim, who also admitted being intoxicated to the point of passing out, alleged that after Philbin helped her to the bed in the master bedroom, he undressed her and "performed an act of sexual intercourse on her without her consent."

There was a second alleged perpetrator against both victims named in the criminal complaint, but he has not yet been charged. The investigation is ongoing.

Philbin was interviewed by police on Sept. 15. He admitted to having the party and having sex with both victims. Philbin said a condom was found in his parents' bedroom because his parents found out and "we got yelled at."

The Wisconsin attorney general's office is handling the prosecution because of a conflict of interest concerning one of the Brown County prosecutors.

Never been a Schottenheimer fan, but he's a lot more deserving than most of the candidates, and the fact that he went to the CFL makes me root for him. Those quitters in Tampa clearly need a disciplinarian.

I also think Childress deserves another shot. Favre screwed him.

Dolphins interviewed Mike Zimmer
Today on sirius nfl radio Adam Schefter said for some reason he thinks there could still be another coach fired besides the possible Jim Caldwell. Anyone else here think there could be anymore?
Gailey maybe?
Also when Schottenheimer was fired from SD didnt they say just like a week before that he would be staying? Maybe Norv could still get the boot?

I thought about that too but I think the way they played the second half of the season really saved him.
