R.I.P. Al Davis

I just dont understand why anyone would find it necessary to say anything bad about Al Davis on the day he dies. The man may have slipped in his later years but he was as influential an owner as anyone ever. I appreciate what he did to help bring in Bill Walsh to the Niners. I never liked the Raiders but I respect what he did for that team in their glory years and what he did for the NFL.

People are not banned for having discussions that are against the social norms. Nor are they banned for being insensitive. If that were true, half the zone would be banned. I'm not coming anywhere close to breaking any rules. If what I'm doing is ever considered against the rules I would leave and never look back.

I thought the old man lost it the last few years, but there was no question the guy was a true football legend.
