Thanks for the article. It was a good read. On a side note, Paul Allen has a face that just makes you want to punch it, especially when he's wearing a seachickens hat
Rookie wage scale should be in place not to help the owners but to help the fans. If a team makes a mistake, aka Alex Smith, they have given that person a 60 million dollar contract, they have to give that person a chance, and it has doomed many franchises. Who suffers, not the owners, the 9ers still sell out, it is the fans who suffer.

Rookie pay scale, rounds 1-3 4 year contract, rounds 4-7 3 year contracts. No franchise tag, RFA tag for 1st year in FA, and then no more. 16 game season. Players get 500,000, the other 500,000 goes into a pool and is used to fund new stadium construction. Owners still share revenue, that is what keeps parity.

i should be a mediator.
Love Rick.

Good read on how much some of these guys have.

I found the article to be very slanted, but then it was an opinion piece.

Agreed. I actually thought that the article was poorly written. Nothing more than a sensationalist piece trying to portray the Owners as evil.

I understand the players should get a fair part of the profits. But what right do they have to see the owners books? My friends who own their own businesses sure as heck don't let their employees look at their finances...alot of the company's info can be quite personal for the owner. If I owned a business I wouldn't want my employees looking at my books. I don't get it.
How hard is it really to come up with a fair agreement. Install a rookie cap and raise the league minimum. Also give players healthcare for life after x amount of years in the league. Or maybe just have the owners pay for a class to teach players to balance a checkbook.
