That was a horrible call but 4th and 4 is still VERY manageable and it was 3rd and 3 when he made that call. There is no telling what would have happened if he would of dropped back to pass, he coulda picked up a 1st down or he could of took a 6 yard sackHindsight is 20/20.
It looked like Hanie had some room to step up and take off for 4 yards and a 1st but again, hindsight is 20/20 but one thing is for certain, he had NO SHOT at completing that pass

He was still better off stepping up and taking off with it (from what it looked like) or WORST CASE SCENERIO, hit up one of the outside receivers who have one on one coverage and let him battle it out. NEVER force it over the middle, that never works
