we did almost beat the saints in week 2 at least

and philly.....and Atlanta.. the game will be at the stick and we can play with anybody as long as we are not giving the game away like we were at the beginning of the season

you can't be serious lost by 3 with 5 turnovers to the Saints. Lost by 3 with 5 turnovers vs Philly and lost by 2 with 3 turnovers vs Atlanta. Those are the 3 best teams in the NFC and it took all 60 minutes to put us away. yeah, we can play with ANYBODY as long as we aren't giving the game away, especially at Candlestick

good teams force turnovers..bad teams commit turnovers.

and it took the last play of the game for each of those good teams to beat us. So I would say we played with each of those teams

or they will hand the drivers seat over to the 49ers

The sadest part of going to the playoffs is we are giving up a huge difference of where we draft even if we get blown out in the 1st game.

Teams that make the playoffs automatically draft 21st or later..... if the season ended today we would be in draft position #8....... :-)

We will not win the Super Bowl...... so highest draft position is a must!!!!

Yeah, ramifications of our future are at stake if we win this Sunday. -Playoff appearance, with a FO/coaching staff that will be on whole-sale this January.

It's good to win in the 'now', but going into next season with s**tty draft slotting/the possibility of Sing staying will send this team back 3 more years.

Anything can happen in the Playoffs. Saints didn't "butt rape" us the first time they played in Candlestick and they were at FULL STRENGTH when they played us..Eli Manning is turnover prone. Candlestick would be ROCKIN and you know it which is why you will watch the game if we make it

But that was 'then', this is now. The Saints were waking up from a SB hangover in the first 5-7 weeks, now they're playing face-to-face with Conference Championship-friendly teams now. Seriously, they're in the NFC South, if we were in the NFC South this year we'd be 3-11 right now.

The post-season is another thing, but this team hasn't changed. It has not changed, and if you think things are different you haven't been watching a lot of 49er football this season. This is the same ill-coached/poorly prepared team that cannot adjust/win when things are not going their way.

No it's not. That's a loser's mentality. We need to get rid of that (as a fanbase and as an organization).

Drafting high doesn't guarantee good players (see Alex Smith, Kentwan Balmer, Chilo Rachal, David Baas, etc.). The Patriots and Ravens never draft high but yet they always get good players in the draft.

Play to win and then invest heavily in scouting good players in the draft.

SF Giants scenario all over again. i hope it ends the same for my Niners!!!
