Kris Jenkins suffered this same injury last year and the Jets lost him for 10 games. He was seriously considering retiring last season, but Rex Ryan talked him back into coming back this year. After rehabbing from the injury, he said he wouldn’t ever want to go through that again. This was his 3rd ACL tear. Then after rehab, he lost 40 lbs on a team diet challenge going into training camp. To go through all that, just to tear the exact same ligament that he just had surgically repaired, in the first game, has got to be heartbreaking for him. Likely he’s done for not just the season, but his career too. What a bummer. Good guy too.

Looks like both Jets and 49ers will look heavily at NT prospects come April.
