if the NFL wanted to have a super bowl in the cold all this time than it should have been awarded to GB 1st.

every decision this Franchise makes should revolve around us peaking in 2014 for this Super Bowl.
I am not even joking one bit
As a threepeat, right?

The SB comes to NJ meadowlands! I am all for it. The only thing that could make this better would be to have the 49ers in town to represent the NFC

This will be the only Super Bowl where most of the spectators will be gone by the 4th quarter.
I've gone to a cold December NFL game in the teens. Most fans were leaving after half time. By the end of the game, the stadium was only 5% filled. The Super Bowl is filled with more corporate types rather than true fans. And the fans that are there are not from the two playing teams. These people will not stay shivering their butts off with frost bitten feet.
What a spectacle, TV trying to avoid showing the empty stands.

You're all for it because you live there.
Nobody else wants to see a Super Bowl with teams bumbling around in the February cold.

Actually the worst of the winter months in NJ are December and January. Sure it still gets cold in February, but that's when the thaw out generally begins.

Yeah, with global warming it will be at least 65 degrees in NJ during Feb. of 2014.

Hell yeah!!!
The 49ers are now built for cold weather...well...unless we go 70% Raye-Gun throughout the season...then we are screwed.

cmon lets not be all dumbfounded either.
You have recognized the pattern of where they have been hosting Super Bowls right?
Enough people must have the opinion that the SB should be played in warm weather...so as I don't think you should just discount the idea so easily

I completely agree. This a really BAD idea. The NFL is one of the strongest brands in America and the NFL usually doesn't make many mistakes, but I believe this is a huge mistake.
At the Super Bowl the game should be the story, not the weather.
I hope the weather totally sucks, wind, rain, sleet and snow, with bad ice on the NJ Turnpike so the stadium is 1/2 empty.
The good news is that we can all look forward to the next Super Bowl being hosted in Santa Clara.
