Twitter is no more stupid than Facebook status updates. But we have several people here who love to use that

Twitter is a place to get information and share interesting things. It's also remarkably useful for businesses, bands, and anyone who wants to see how people are mentioning their brand.

It does fill a very specific need, though, in a way that Facebook just can't.
