Calling sports isnt really an "easy" job...they work all week with both teams often traveling cross country to learn up on each team, getting players and stats down as much as they can, as well as talking with most of the starters for game plans and other tidbits....

and because of that, each broadcast team also gets a bye week at one point in the season, including the sunday night football team..

well when you consider other than when they are travelling, they dont get a day off..
