Like the thread we had last season use this one to discuss the league's 2008 rookies and track their progress. Kwame Harris Jr...oops I mean Gosder Cherilus (who wears the same number as Kwame) had a brilliant debut to his career with 1 holding and 2 false start penalties. Browns TE Martin Rucker looked pretty good catching 5 balls for 70 yards including a 28 yarder. Pats rookie LB Shawn Crable recorded half a sack and a INT. (He also had 3 tackles)

Somehow stumbled upon this ancient thread... great read for draftniks and those who read too much into preseason or overreact early in a players career (yes people went so far as to consider Colt Brennan a franchise qb after a few solid preseason games, yet hated on Matt Ryan for 2 fumbles in his first start)... hindsight really is 20/20.

wow haha, do we have a thread every year for rookies? Nice to go back and ppl said. lol @ some people being okay with not drafting Desean Jackson. One person called him a Vernon Davis 'Mini-me'......which was a bad thing back then hahaha

Injuries and a full stable, I stand by my comment. If the dude had all the touches and could stay 100% he would be one of the best from 2008.

he's the most overrated. i've watched him play a lot, and he shows no signs of elite talent

I will give you Chris Johnson as the only one that is defiantly better. Ray Rice maybe, hard to say. Obviously his career is going a better route. Forte is way over rated IMO. MCFad may prove to be a beast also.

But Felix Jones has some impressive stats for only starting 7 games or so. If, IF he stayed healthy and was a work horse I have no doubt he would be putting up very impressive numbers. Also, these guys have 3 years, he could still rise.

You don't need to defend yourself. Many people thought he was going to be a star (no pun intended). He may still prove you right.
