So if we wanted to trade for the number one pick, hypothetically ( i can't spell) we would have to send them picks that equate to 3000?

Hmmm, a move from the 11th to 9th spot is almost exactly equivalent to our 1st + 4th round pick.

Yup. In fact, I think the simplest way for us to trade up would be any combination of a pick + a 4th. Using the high Redskins 4th, we could go from:
11 to 9
42 to ~33
76 to ~59
