Ridley was older than most of his competition but he didn't beat his competition by being bigger, stronger or faster. He wins because he's honed his craft, he runs precise routes and he clearly puts in the work. I think that when looking at players you always have to look at how they will win in the NFL and this guy has never relied on being the superior athlete. Will it be more difficult to find success against DBs who are stronger, faster and smarter than the guys he played against in college? Sure, but that's any NFL WR. He has never relied on being physically dominant so I don't see his age as a major key to his success.

Alot of individuals are here talking about Landry, Smith, Edmunds, James, Sutton, as the possible selections. Its cool, not totally against it.
This is opinion based, nevertheless, but why Sutton? Because of his size and prowless? His route running is disturbing. If we going to go WR, why not get the best WR.
Can you guys imagine Jimmy G with a WR like Marvin Harrison lined up in his offense.
The team has a few ends they want to roll dice on. I think this offense will be fireworks. Garcon is. grinder but he's been doing this for a while now, how much does he have left? Goodwin can be top notch, but how about another concusion? Trent Taylor is a stud from the slot, but he isn't a carry the team type of WR. Bourne he's on the come up but potential isnt guranteed and he's slow. Calvin would come in, and catch lazers up and down that field from #10, moving chains.
Garcon, Ridley, Taylor, Goodwin, Bourne and Kittle/Celek is cool. But imagine if we also drafted Penn State TE Mike Gesicki in the 2nd?
Jimmy G, Garcon, Goodwin, Taylor, Ridley, Gesicki can't forget Jerrick Mckinnon.
Discuss, what are you guys thoughts. Instead of running with the idea of saftey, which I dont like really unless Fitzpatrick is the pick on a slide, or drafting LBs, why not create a serious offensive juggernaunt, I mean we have the Off. cord. & QB??? Alot of people want sacks, I rather have TDS!

Ridley is my favorite WR in this draft, but hes not top ten. He is teens and twenties imo. He should be a solid player in the NFL. If we trade down a bit and pick up some picks sure, but i dont see them drafting him at 9.

I agree, this is random but the Ravens are WR hungry, and actually targeting Ridley. I mean what's the big deal if you take Ridley @ #9 opposed to lets say taking him at #15? Will they really be a problem if you can't land a trade back and obtain a draft pick or two in the process, of a player that will fit the offense P E R F E C T L Y.
I'll take my chances and grab Ridley @ #9, and have no problem listening/watching these so called draft experts saying we reached, laughing and making jokes. But how much reaching jokes can someone make if we draft Ridley, knowing we have a very creative Off Cord. and a QB to back him up. The Ridley pick is very dangerous pick, and not for the bad.
Once Ridley is lined up, catching endless clutch 1st down conversions and bombs from #10, the same "experts" that were laughing and saying we reached, are going to be eating crow, saying the Jimmy G/Ridley connection isnt fair to defenses, sort of like Montana/Rice P Manning/Harrison shows.

Ridley was one of my early favorites, but at this point, that ship has sailed. No chance we take him. Whoever does draft him will get a great player.

To be honest, reason I bring this up, is because I'm getting spooked out with the.....we might take Sutton "talk"
I have watched highlights and actual games, I can't see the hype. He's incredibly far from Julio closer to David Boston. Aside from contested catches, I think hes "meh".
If we indeed taking WR in RD 1, why not get the BEST? Whether people want to admit it or not, we actually have the luxury to take WR at #9 this year.

If he was a 9er, we'd have folks already calling him a bust.

He's most likely the 3rd or 4th option behind Sir Julio, Mr. Sanu and maybe even behind Prince Hooper.
That's not mentioning Freeman or Coleman.
He'll get his targets but i mean Master Ryan has options.

He was wide open in the endzone on one play, Matt Ryan forced it into double coverage to Julio Jones instead.
Atlanta has plenty of talent but it was a combined s**tshow duet by Sark and Ryan.
