How many picks do we rid of? And to whom?

It's hard to predict trades, but how many do u think we make during the draft?
Who have we been most trade friendly with in drafts past?

I say we trade at least 5 of the picks this year.
I would say 3 at the least but probably 4. 31 and 34 would be prime spots (QB desperate teams?) to move down and pick up a 1st and possibly more next year by giving the way the pick. Could also just trade down 10-15 spots or so and pick up a late 3rd this year or next. I see us working the multiple 5, 6 and 7s to move up from the bottom of the rounds to early in the rounds. Could also trade a 4, 5, 6 or 7 this year for a round higher next year. So 5th this year for 4th next year. Could use extra picks for next year... so far we have a 1, 2, 2 or 3 (alex), 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 7. Probably end up with a 3 and 4 for Goldson and Walker. RJF and Sopoaga would get us 6s or 7s but we should have a few signings to cancel them out. So might end up with a 1, 2, 2, 3, 3, 4, 4, 5, 6, 7, 7 which is awesome but can always get more. Would give us enough to move up high in the 1st if we wanted to. Doubt we do that this year though since there isn't much at the top.

I see many trades from us this year. IMO, we might only have two picks after the 4th rd, our compensatory picks.

Some possible trading partners.

1. Chicago

They only have only five picks.
We might want to trade up in the first for pick #20 or in the second for #50.
We could also trade low round picks to move up and get their fourth round pick.

2. Carolina

They have only five picks.
A possible target would be their second round pick, #44.
I think we have to give up too much to get their first, #14

3. New Orleans

4. Indianapolis

Both the Saints and the Colts only have only five picks.
They have no second so I doubt they would their first or third.
We could trade up for their fourth.

5. Cleveland

The Browns might want to trade up for pick #31 to get a quarterback.
If so we could get their third round pick this year, #68 and their 2014 first.

6. Oakland

Like Cleveland, might want to trade up for pick #31 to get a quarterback.
We would get pick #66 and their 2014 first.
This is far fetched, but I would like Jax pick in the 2nd. Or Cincys pick. Talk about loaded at the top of the 2nd!!!
We will probably trade for futures. We are in a good position this year in the top 6 even without any trades. We won't need to move up this year, but you never know. That's the beauty of the position we are in.

I have no clue. So far the Niners haven't given any indication that there is one prospect that they are enamored with at the top of the draft. Until the Seahawks traded for Harvin, my only idea was that the Niners would trade up with the Bears or the Colts to get ahead of Seattle. Now they may be able to trade with the Vikings who could wait till #31 or #34 to get a DT to replace Kevin Williams. As usual, the Niners are playing things close to the vest.

They could be bold and go as high up as #3 with the Raiders. That team needs some serious help.

fewer than you think. I imagine we will either trade them away or actually draft players. little trading up.
I always hoped we could package some late round picks and try to get back into the 4th round, and with that said I hope we dont mess with our first four picks , I hope we use them , but I'm hoping for some manuevering to get us closer to the 4th again would be solid
I think we make 7 selections which would be an entire draft class! That leaves 7 to trade off... Either move up or next years considerations!! Amazing when you think about it...

I think we should trade with Texas because the teams in between them and us have an interest in DL. Give them the 31st pick and. A 4th to move up to 27. The texans don't need a DL so their guy should still be there at 31.

I could totally agree with this. The devils advocate is you probably could get good players with the traded picks. You would need to trade the niners bottom of the 2nd, the carolina 3rd and a 5th to trade up to pick 35. Would be sweet though.

Pick 31
34
35.

The devils advocate to me says trade more of the lower picks that can be traded and keep the compensatory as you have to.

Trade the two 3rd round picks to go back up into round 2, Niners would have 4 picks between 31 and 64. The value sweet spot of the draft.
#34 to the Raiders for their #1 next year. That would enter us in the Clowney sweepstakes.
