True on the o-line not being long in the tooth playing in normal formations, but that seems to be how they get the new kids on the field to learn about game prep. Kilgore is being groomed like Boone before him...getting time in the special packages while in practice he gets to play in a more normal role. Its a new way of doing things, but if it produces more Boone level linemen, I am all for it.

For example you see people thinking we can have Swope ( who is my draft crush) in the 5th. Dont get me wrong your optomisitic...but more in the line of a guy could go earlier in a round than we pick as opposed to two rounds before we would go for him.
Edit: food for thought....say we could pry a third from somebody for Alex, who would be your extra 3rd rounder?
I'm a big fan of Swope too. He'd be a great complement to Crabtree. Could also stick him in the slot and he'd be a nightmare on crossing/short routes.
If we were to get a third for Alex, I would look at grabbing an OL to replace Leonard Davis, who will be a free agent, and Jonathan Goodwin, who might be a cap casualty or get released due to age.
Round 3- Braxston Cave, C, Notre Dame... 6'3", 305

Whatever the rounds may be I would love to have those 3 players. Fauria bloking got little towards the end and as we know by v. davis blockimg is a state of mind. I really see us taken kawaan short in the 1st dont think we are picking 13 players imo only 8 or 9. I jumped the gun talking bout the 3rd round cause I think harbaugh will manuever for 2 seconds & 2 thirds at any rate I hope it turns out that way bcause it ensures 5 top notch players

The round 1 pick is obviously a NT. I am OK with that, but would prefer to use a top thirty pick on a tru 3-4 DE.
The pick 2, is that person going to be an OLB?? At 243 pounds he would not project well to be a 3-4 DE. We need a replacement for Cowboy, not Aldon or Brooks.
I also value the TE position. I concur with drafting high for that position.
Great draft all in all.

Great draft all in all.
The 2nd rounder, Corey Lemonier, is a pass rush specialist who can play 3-4 OLB or 4-3 DE in nickel and dime situations. As the Giants have proven over the past 5 seasons, you can never have enough pass rushers come playoff time.
I agree about 3-4 DE being a major priority, but I think NT is going to be of equal importance. Sopoaga may be gone this offseason. Justin will definitely be back next year. Ideally, we need both positions in this draft.
