HOLY MOTHERF***N S**t
The Jeff Fuller mentioned above as a WR, is actually #49's son

I did not know that
If they draft Jeff Fuller as WR, I will be 1000% behind him hoping he makes it in the NFL as a star

Childs might be the 4th or 5th but is he ready to go and stay healthy without any long term effects?
The talk is him sneaking into the 1st so for him to be around 61 would be a disappointment in my book and no matter what round if we take a OLB before round 4 and it isn't strictly BPA I would be incredibly surprised. Even if we cut Haralson in favor of Irvin they have completely different skill sets and we would lose a stout run defender and replace him with a speed rusher? That makes no sense to me as Aldon is still transition to run defending and we'd be weakening our team by making such a swap. Brooks played 95% of our snaps last season and Aldon and Haralson pretty much split their share, were would Irvins playing would come from? Using a 1st, 2nd, 3rd, or even a 4th round pick on player in line to see 5% to (being generous) 25% of the snaps for next several years would be an incredible waste of pick. I already agreed Brooks cut get axed or traded without much issue but going off the idea that he continues to play well Irvin would finish out his rookie deal having played barely 1000 snaps.
He wont go in the first because he is still raw. Although the same can be said for other guys its his personal issues that could drop him. At 61 he could easily be BPA on the board, although a bit of a luxury pick he would be an asset. Granted Parys offers help in the run game he offers little in rushing the passer. If Aldon continues to improve which he should, he will take lots of snaps away from Parys. If we can limit Irvin to situational plays and bring him on slowly he could be a good 3rd option at OLB. The problem I see is that if we get an injury to either Brooks or Smith we take a major step back with Parys. We have been able to contain the run when McDonald, ICE, and Willis have gone out, no reason why we should have a major drop off if we lost Parys.
Again the ability to rotate players and keep guys fresh will be a big reason why we stay healthy and competitive down the stretch. If they can get 10lbs of muscle on Irvin, teach him better technique, and raise his football IQ his potential would go through the roof. Irvin on a 4 year deal worth $2-3 mill is better then having Parys on the last 2 years of his deal eating $5 mill. Even if we kept both for 2012, in 2013 we could drop Parys slide Irvin into the 3rd spot and draft a kid very low to be a project with upside.
Remember we brought him in....decent chance we take the kid if he is there.
Agreed, I just think we were doing out due diligence though, I do think that if/when we add an OLB we wont cut Haralson - I think we'll offer him a pay cut and/or just carry 4 OLBS like a normal team lol. Also I think the likelihood of us trading him during the draft will have a better chance of happening then cutting/trading him later in the off season.

Just kind of curious...you don't think your"what you want to happen" and "you think will happen" will be the same at any point? Why? So you would disagree with every pick you think Balked will make?

Because I personally believe we are not handcuffed to taking a WR in the first so I think it changes the philosophy of the draft, I am not a fan of stephen hill and do not want us to spend a first on such a developmental prospect, while Silatolu might be raw he is still an upgrade over the rest of the OL competing for the starting spot. It could be same in the 3rd round and the 7th but in my "want" I want Turbin and in the "will happen" I think we select Travaris Cadet a RB/WR hybrid that helps fill 3 separate needs. It could also still be the same in the 6th but I personally want David Molk despite the knowledge of us being incredibly interested in 2 centers slotted to go in the 6th round.

Um, well if you look at his pics - it simply starts with the first round and then becomes a ripple effect. If he wants a guard in round 1, but thinks the 49ers will take Hill instead - then the rest of the draft will be different for both scenarios. Like, if he wants Silatolu in the first, then why would he "want" another guard in round 2? If he "thinks" they will actually take Hill, then why would he think they would take Childs in round 4?

He may have never played it but it doesn't mean he isn't athletic enough or have a high enough football IQ to do it. Everyone has chimed in that he'll get looks at both Safety and Corner, depending on the team that takes him. Besides that is just icing on the cake as I mentioned we will be able to evaluate him and move him around because we do not need an immediate contributor, just depth.

thanks RDB explained it to near perfection.

Man, what a great post!
Of your selections, I would think:
Rd1: A - Amini Silatolu OG Midwestern State
Rd2: A - Trumaine Johnson DB Montana
Rd3: B - Derek Wolfe DT Cincinnati, But I'd expect him to be gone here.
Rd4: A - Greg Childs WR Arkansas. Although my preference would be Streeter from Miami.
Rd5: A - David Molk C Michigan
Rd6: A - Jeremy Jones DB Wayne State
Rd7: A - LaVon Brazill WR Ohio. But actually I'd prefer to take a flyer on Burfict, LB from ASU here. Ooops, he tested positive for drugs. Never mind, then!

Thanks man. I just finished up all my final projects and school and this was sort of a "reward" for myself. Get my mind off the school work and spent the evening putting this together. One hell of a way to relax.

Thanks man, Burfict is done, not only did he fail a test but he looks terrible in comparison to the other man who failed a test, Jayron Hosley sent a letter of apology to every team taking responsibility for it and explaining his actions. Burfict just said "Draft me and you'll get a great linebacker" lol.

The thing to keep in mind (for others) WRT OL is because we're picking #30, that's almost the 2nd rd. Passing on either Zeitler or Silatolu would be a mistake IMHO. Unless Baalke trades up in the 2nd rd, he wouldn't get either guy. I like Zeitler because he played at Wisc, is a very blue-collar guy and has been practicing at C this off-season. We could get a two-for-one deal drafting him. He'd upgrade RG now and slide over to take over C when Goodwin declines. Even if Kilgore were to win the RG job, we'd still have Zeitler to understudy Goodwin. In that case, drafting Molk would probably not be necessary. Overall, though, I like your mock a lot.
