Read the ESPN article on him (most recent ESPN magazine has a 6 page article on Burfict). Very interesting article.
I've read every article I can get my hands on about Burfict and seen him play every game. What stands out to me more than anything is, he is immature and possibly has severe emotional problems.
I think more then the NFL, the guy needs therapy. I'm not trying to say that in a condescending way or anything, its just the way he talks and communicates, I think there is something wrong in his head. He seems to suffer from wild mood swings which leads to his problems on/off the field.
The article said he was about to QUIT football after his combine, because he couldn't handle all the criticism of him. Thats just typical of his behavior. Someone critiques him and he takes it so personal it crushes him and he withdraws. Its why he never improved at ASU, IMO. He was impossible to work with because any negativity that punctured his ego sent him into a tailsdive.
I'd like to see Burfict go undrafted and see a psychiatrist. I think he could be a manic depressant or something the way his emotions seem so out of control.
Article points out he is down to about 240lbs, but still by the photos, he is NO WHERE CLOSE to NFL shape. Also, apparently Pete Carroll was present at Burfict's private work out post ASU workout. I wouldn't be surprised if Pete ends up grabbing him.
