I have it on good authority this guy is what Hargaugh needs at RG. He's 6-4, 315...beyond that he's a blue collar guy...works hard, studies hard, comes ready to play every week. He's equally adept at pass blocking as he is as a roadgrader in the run game. Adding him to the OL would really strenghten the interior, which is our weakest point.

I would put him in the trade down category... Other guys I would consider (but don't necessarily like) are Juron Criner, Stepon Gilmore, Minnifield, Kelechi Osemele, Brandon Boykin, Casey Hayward, Streeter, McNutt, Sanu or Dennard, etc but some of these guys would probably make it to 62. Some we could only trade down from 30 to high 30's, others we could probably trade down to late 2nd and still get.

You don't like McNutt? Why? If we took him we'd be able to McNutt all over oposing teams DB's lol. Sorry, I couldn't help myself lmao.

Criner and McNutt are some of my favorite prospects for us along with Wright and Fleener. Not sure were it says I don't like him. Problem is a lot of those guys I listed in my last post wouldn't be value picks at 30 and won't be there at 62 so I put them in the "in case we trade down" group. There is a chance we do trade down though... 30 is a prime spot for teams to come back into the 1st. Guys who have fallen and seem like steals. Jahvid Best and Tim Tebow were hot commodities at the end of round 1 recently. ... maybe pick up an extra 3rd or 4th/6 or 7

I like the guy but I don't want us to draft another Oline guy in the first 2 rounds this year!
What do we think of Kilgore or Pearson stepping up? Both looked decent in preseason last year. I really hope they both hit the weights in the last year and have worked hard. We need the oline to keep improving for us to take that next step!

lindys new draft mag, in their run down on juron criner, said he was hospitalized and tested last year for neurological issues----that is something to be checked on before even thinking about taking him

I do believe that the 49ers could draft this guy. He plays in a west coast offense. Rachal, Snyder have not been resigned so this is a definite possiblity.

What you want and what you get are too different things.
I didn't want Alex to be our qb last year, but I guess that turned out okay, and right now we have a huge hole at RG. I think this team will continue to draft lineman high this year and in the future.

If you are implying Zeitler is a 1st rounder I would have to disagree.

The available vets don't seem likely to necessarily improve on Snyder's performance.
