Some people just look at numbers, he was a good RB but not even close to what people give him credit for

Yeah , ok buddy! I'm sure the Redskins will call that a good trade for RG3 if they get a career like that out of RG3 LOL!!!!
Jeff Hostetler's career blew Williams career out of the water!!
Williams only had part of a good year and took over for a team with exceptional Wrs and an ol as well. So he didn't do much, had a couple of great games with an even greater supporting cast.
Can't argue with his career numbers which really blow
Exactly.
Gibbs had a great system with awesome WRs (the Posse). This is the same system that made Jay Schroeder and Mark Rypien look REAL good.

Bruce allen. He's been GM since 09, so I'd have to think this is a kind of move that either saves or kills his job.

Bruce Allen. He previously worked for the Raiders and went over to Tampa Bay the year after they won the Super Bowl under Gruden. Allen had a previous relationship with Gruden with the Raiders, so they thought it would make a good pairing. He then started on youth movement cutting guys like Lynch and Sapp. IMO, him and Gruden ran the Bucs into the ground.

So technically with their picks they have 5 1st rounders and 4 2nd rounders in the next 3 years. If they do well and hit on most of these they should be Super Bowl Contenders. Big thanks to Washington, Rams fans have to be elated.
Yeah, the Rams got a great deal.
Have not seen anything like that since Eli... Made chargers a very good team.

Well, I hope he has his next career move planned then.

This move has Snyder written all over it..... But the coach and GM will lose their job bc an owner can't lose his.

I think chances are good that it does backfire the next few years, but there's no guarantee. Both of these QBs are very very solid, if Luck had gone into the draft last year RGiii would be a lock for #1 this year so they have to be viewing it like that. It could be a manning/rivers type of draft, or one could be the next Ryan leaf. But it's a chance that a desperate GM takes because they're too s**tty to lure peyton(plus mcnabb showed them that it doesn't always work out) and they know the dropoff from griffin to tannehill is substantial.
They still have to get a decent WR but considering they had a decent infusion of youth last year and they still have a lot of depth picks they could manage to get lucky. Doing little or nothing would have gotten bruce fired even quicker, at least the fanbase has a potential franchise qb to get excited about. They'll buy tickets, jerseys, ect.

Traderaped!
This seems like the last hoorah for the skins, if they dont win soon there will be a massive house cleaning.

They beat the g men twice with grossman and they are competitive in a lot of their games, I see them winning 6 to 7
The Redskins have plenty of cap space and will add talent to their roster so I don't think they will be top 10 picks.
Still ... even assuming mid-round picks the Rams are going to have every opportunity to build their franchise in the next 3 years. But here's the rub - it all falls on Bradford. If he ends up not being a franchise QB (and the jury is still out) then the Rams may squander the talent they acquire waiting for this guy to develop.

Smart move. They'll be what the lions were this year in a few years.

This is the type of stuff that Bill Belichick would eventually spin into having the entire 2nd round in 2019 .... it's insane to think how many directions the Rams can go with this many picks.

My math skills are not great, but it looks to me that that Redskins gave up 2 first round picks and a second second round pick.
They did not give up this year's pick, they moved up four spots; they sill have a first round pick this year.
Or look at this way. The Rams have five first round picks in the next three years--which is a net gain of two first round picks.
I am not denying that this was a very good trade for the Rams, and a problem for us.
But, if RG3 is everything that is expected, the trade will also be very good for the Redskins.
