Louisville wide receiver Josh Bellamy ran the 40-yard dash in 4.38 to 4.40 seconds at his campus Pro Day workout, according to an NFL source who attended the session. Per the source, Bellamy was extremely impressive. Bellamy registered a 37-inch vertical leap, a 10-5 broad jump and a 4.15 short shuttle. Bellamy caught every pass and did a full workout for NFL teams at wide receiver and cornerback. Sixteen to 18 NFL teams attended the workout, including the Indianapolis Colts, Kansas City Chiefs, Cleveland Browns, San Francisco 49ers, Baltimore Ravens, New Orleans Saints, Seattle Seahawks, Green Bay Packers, Cincinnati Bengals and the Philadelphia Eagles. Bellamy is in the process of scheduling several visits to NFL teams. The St. Petersburg, Fla., native caught 24 passes for 280 yards and two touchdowns last season.The speedy 6-foot, 205-pounder played junior college football at Butte Community College, the same school that produced Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers. BR> He also recorded 10 tackles and is regarded as a defensive prospect by some NFL teams. As a junior, he caught 29 passes for 401 yards and tied for the team lead with five touchdowns as he averaged 13.8 yards per reception. Committed to South Florida before he enrolled at Butte after not making his test score, Bellamy caught 80 passes for 1,307 yards and 17 touchdowns in two seasons at Butte. He was also recruited by Iowa State.
