Could we possibly be looking at trading up for RG3?

Peter King being interviewed on NFL Network said there was a good team with a qb situation that they felt comfortable with that are at least talking about moving up to #2 because they think that much of RG3 and don't want to see him dominate the league for 10-12 years. Given Harbaugh's known love for Griffin, do you think this could be us?

You have a better chance getting the big room in your apartment than us drafting RGIII

Not even a remote chance of the Niners getting, or even seeking, out RG3.

It's not us. It's one of these two: New York Jets or Kansas City. KC is a good team that faltered because of season-ending injuries for starters at virtually every key position on the entire team (and a guy who should've been an OC and not an HC). QB Cassell, TE Moeaki, RB Charles, S Berry... losing them killed the team's chances.

Anyway, we don't move up because we would have to give up not just picks but starting players too. We don't have a pick in the top 10 so the Rams(division rival, even less of a chance of trading with them) will want an even higher return for not having that top pick they need.
It's more likely to be a team like the skins, desperate for an elite QB and a high enough pick that they can get it done without jeopardizing their future picks or roster players. Possibly the seahawks if they're willing to give up more. Browns need a WR more than anything but may be tempted to go for a qb upgrade instead.

Cassell was awful without Charlie Weiss. He had a terrible start to this year, and the year prior to last year where he didn't have Weiss. The Chiefs want Orton to compete with him because he's simply not the same QB when he's not under Charlie. Look at the stat correlation and you'll see what I mean.
I think Orton has a legitimate shot of beating him out if they don't draft a QB early and Orton is re-signed.
