Will Philbin set to sign as HC of Miami, as reported just a little bit ago by Schefter, I would be surprised if Flynn didn't end up in Miami. If he ends up in Miami, no way they are making the trade you have.

Its possible, Washington, Miami, and Seattle need somebody real bad. Also if Cleveland doesn't take RGIII at 4 they are in the mix as well. Also Freeman is a FA after 2013 and with his declined play and a new HC Tampa could be looking for somebody. If only 2 QB's are drafted by our pick somebody will be getting antsy and a trade could easily happen.

1 Indianapolis Colts 2–14 .539
2 St. Louis Rams 2–14 .590
3 Minnesota Vikings 3–13 .559
4 Cleveland Browns 4–12 .531
5 Tampa Bay Buccaneers 4–12 .551
6 Washington Redskins 5–11 .477
7 Jacksonville Jaguars 5–11 .500
8–9 Carolina Panthers & Miami Dolphins[Tie 1] 6–10 .504
10 Buffalo Bills 6–10 .520
11–12 Kansas City Chiefs & Seattle Seahawks[Tie 2] 7–9 .512

If I was looking for trade targets those are the teams I would be expecting to call....doubt Sea calls but they could be in the mix.
jreff,
Should the Niners pick Irvin, would they use him initially the way they used Aldon this year, as a pass rush specialist. Irvin's lack of work in pass coverage may put the defense at a disadvantage, especially if Brooks doesn't come back (although Brooks is no great shakes in pass coverage either).

In short, yes. Aldon came along faster then most anticipated and really did have a pro bowl year. Irvin is very raw and will take a lot of time to mold but he will have the benefit of a full offseason, something Aldon didn't get. Irvin would be used to go after the QB and focus on honing that skill from the get go. What we would probably see is a better rotation at the position and start to transition Aldon into coverage schemes while Irvin pins his ears back. But the beauty of this is with 4 guys we can keep people fresh and their is no immediate rush for Irvin to make a day 1 impact....that is of course under the assumption Aldon keeps up the pace and remains a top force.

Looks good justin, I like this draft.

Dwight Jones and Bruce Irvin are two of my favorite players in this years draft. Harrison Smith is a fav of mine due to the irish. Zeitler and Hilton would be a welcome additions.

I think if Snyder re-signs he starts for now, then Zeitler takes over in a year.

As for the rest of the roster, I think Ian Williams is in the mix at NT backup wise, I dont think he would hit the practice squad he is gonna be claimed.

I think Brock would compete with Curtis Holcomb for a spot, I would go with Holcomb I like his more than Brock.

I like the fact no outside free agents, I dont see us spending major money on other free agents, we need to retain our own 1st.

I think with that roster our starters would be, QB Alex, RB Gore, FB Miller, WR Crabtree and Morgan, TE Vernon, C Goodwin, LG Iupati, RG Snyder, LT Staley, RT Davis. DE Justin Smith and McDonald, NT Sopoaga, OLB Brooks and Aldon Smith, ILB Willis and Bowman, CB Rogers and Brown, FS Goldson, SS Whitner, K Akers, P Lee, LS Jennings and RS Ginn.

Then key backups, QB Kaepernick, RB Hunter and Dixon, WR Williams and Jones, TE Delanie and Byham, OT Boone, OG Kilgore, DE Dobbs, NT Jean Francois, ILB Grant and Costanzo, OLB Haralson and Irvin, CB Culliver and Brock, FS Jones, SS Smith and Spillman.

And then inactives, QB Tolzien, FB Rodriquez, WR Hilton, OT Person, C Kilgore, DL Tukuafu, CB Perlin.

Thinking or Practice Squad would look like, TE Reuland, C Beeler, OT Hall, S Hardin, a rookie RB, rookie ILB, WR Hastings and a rookie DL.

hilton should not be an inactive player, his speed and explosiveness will help out this team big time at least on returns and im sure roman, harbaugh and chryst can design plays for him on offense

Few things about that...

Morgan may start the year on the PUP
Hilton is for arguments sake a small school kid and it will take him some time to adjust
He would be the lowest guy on the totem pole
Its up to him to prove his worth but he will need some time learning to block and not be one diminsional
But he may be the reason we let Ginn go in the future

Thing is We have 5 WRs right now and usually only activate 4 of them per gameday. Now i have 5 of the 6 activated, I dont think we would activate all 6, when we need extra DBs, etc....

I wonder whether Hilton wouldn't replace Ginn. Ginn has improved as a receiver but is still not dependable: his clanking hands on the regular season interception with the Giants and his inability to find the ball in the air that negated a TD against Baltimore. His constant injuries are also a handicap. His returns, although excellent, particulaly early in the season, may not be enough to retain him on the 53.
I have a feeling with Miami hiring philbin he will get them to sign Matt Flynn who already knows the offense. if I am right on this thing we will not be trading with miami
No big run plugger, need Raji type D.L.

Tomsula has already stated, that he thinks you don't need a big body type to man the middle. Its more than that, its playing with proper leverage and using your strength and hands to shed the blocks.
like the trading back for extra high value picks!

Like the 1st two picks but don't think we go oline in this draft. We have a good oline that will only get better. We also have Boone who is coming on strong and i think the coachs really like Kilgore and Pearson who both played well given the limited preseason time they had.

So I'd take a cb with the 1st pick in the 3rd.

Really like TY with the second pick in the 3rd

like the 4th alot

rest is okay for me havn't got that far into the draft for my late round picks yet.

Nice to be drafting now when you can really see how the team will take that next step with a few good picks.
