_________

There is no way anybody will spend a 1st on him in the supplemental draft. Not even a chance. You'd even have a hard time finding a team willing to spend a 2nd rounder on him.

A 3rd round selection in the supplemental draft is about the best you can expect for a guy with multiple drug infractions, a checkered history and that was dismissed from the team.
He's not 49er material now. Jim and Trent are running the show and they have demonstrated in droves who they want as Niner players: High Character FOOTBALL players with strong work ethic at the very least.

This guy doesn't even come close so no dice.
He looks short, but he hits pretty good.....maybe another Bob Sanders (too small for the way he plays)

According to harbaugh, and Baalke, I'm not sure Jenkins is a "Gold Star" or a "49er" type player. They probably won't even look at him.

good point.

this guy has "pacman jones" written all over him

We could use some help at CB, but this fool isn't even an option. He's Pacman 2.0

His value in the draft is minimal. A team might throw a late flyer at him if they're desperate in the secondary, but he's not a guy teams will be wanting to bring in. It's a shame. He's talented, but he's a damn fool.
just looking at him he looks like a damn goon, who will be even more trouble once he has millions to his name. yes we need cbs but were not that damn desperate

For all the trouble Jenkins is getting in, his talent alone isn't going to make up for it enough to get him picked very high, supplemental draft or regular draft.

Kid's going to have to overcome questions about those character issues now on top of the serious injury he had surgery on.

So where's the highest you would see him going OTC? He has 1st Rd. talent, but like you mentioned has quite a few red flags? 4th Rd?

considering on how much we reached for in the draft I would still offer a 3rd. Players that have 1st round talent and have "character concerns" generally slip to 3rd/4th round picks. I dont consider marijuana charges a threat to his performance on the field.

He may be a talent, but mari jane is a problem on the field, because he won't be on it if he is busted and suspended. It is more of can he be relied on. Can he be unselfish and sacrifice for the good. Toking some for pleasure when you know the consiquence, shows he is not thinking of his teammates.

However, with the right team he can succeed, are the niners that team-we have problems with Crabtree and Crabs problem is that he is diva and not into drugs. If we had say a Ronnie Lott as teammate, then yeah. However someone will go after him. Sometimes its better to go in the sup., It doesn't have as much scrutiny as the regular draft.
