My thoughts on the draft and mock (a few scenarios)

At number 7 overall, I feel there are only two players worth the pick, according to our needs. Von Miller and Patrick Peterson. As much as I want Peterson, I dont think the niners would pull the trigger. The only way we keep the 7 pick, imo, is if Von Miller is available. I don't think he's gonna be available, so I have us trading back. Heres a few teams I think will be looking for that 7 pick.

Scenario 1:
Trade back with Houston, get their 11th overall and 42nd overall.
7. CB Peterson to Houston
11. CB Prince Amukamara to SF
42. QB Christian Ponder to SF
45. DE Sam Acho to SF

Scenario 2:
Trade back with STL, get the 14th and 47th overall
7. WR Julio Jones to STL
14. LB Robert Quinn to SF
45. CB Aaron Williams to SF
47. WR Jonathan Baldwin to SF (with Ponder, Kap, and Dalton likely gone)
76. QB Ricky Stanzi to SF

Scenario 3:
Trade back with Minnesota, get the 12th and 43rd overall
7. QB Jake Locker to Minn
12. LB Robert Quinn/ CB Prince Amukamara
43. QB Christian Ponder to SF
45. CB Aaron Williams/DE Sam Acho depending on who us taken 12th

Call me crazy with the 3rd scenario, but I know Minnesota likes Jake Locker, and I really dont think he will fall past Washington with Shannahan at 10. With the lock out experts say teams will reach, and I think Minnesota will get it done to make sure they get their guy.

Jonathan Baldwin because hes a big, fast WR and probably BPA at that spot, and niners think Stanzi will be around at 76.

In closing, as I mentioned earlier, I think the niners only keep the 7 pick if Von Miller is there. I think that is their only cant miss guy.

I would cream my pants if scenerio #1 happened.

Each of those picks would be GREAT value, albeit not likely. But that would be a great 2 rounds!

Reed is nice but I think patriots make a play for him. Im not sold on Kap either, and think best case scenario hes a project wholl take a few years.

Not a fan of trading down. Especially not if Peterson is available

I agree that there's a very likely chance of the niners trading down. But I don't think the trade partners will be the ones you list. More likely I think they trade with Dallas (for Peterson) Redskins (for Gabbert or Mallett) or Lions (Peterson)

no way Minny trades up for locker, and i highly doubt the niners will do a deal with the rams for julio, especially considering they brought him in for a visit.
