Quit trying to be so sensible. This is the Webzone.

lol
Good pass rush hides a spotty secondary.

No way bills go with miller at 3 one of either fairly bowers or daerius would be there those are the clear cut top 3 dl players in the draft

I think Patrick Peterson might disagree with that assessment. I think Buffalo will take Dareus or Peterson at #3. Bowers will go to Denver at #2 in my opinion.

And if Buffalo takes Dareus, where does Peterson land? with us or ARZ?

Great question. I just have a hard time believing that Peterson could fall all the way to us at #7. That would be the dream scenario. Arizona could certainly pull the trigger on him. No doubt about that.

i'd go with Prince.. we need a CB badly, plus, we already have a Von Miller in Ahmad Brooks..

How did Matthews do against a rookie in Anthony Davis?

Are you saying Matthews isn't very good?

No, I think he's very good. I'm just saying that just because you have a good pass rusher, doesn't mean he'll always be able to pressure the quarterback.

The biggest weakness of our defense last year wasn't the players, it was the scheme in my opinion. Hopefully we fix that.

Von Miller. Its time we stop messing around and fix our pass-rush. We can fix our secondary with a stop gap in free agency.

Agree. I want a pass rush!
I think there will be plenty of solid CB options in the 2nd and 3rd. I think we need to go pass-rush early.
toss up for me i'd be very happy with either of them

toss up for me also

But I like those 2nd tier CB's alot more then the 2nd tier OLB's

so im going with Miller, and still get a good CB in 2nd
If Petterson or whoever is a sure fire pass rusher is not available, the 49ers MUST pick Julio Jones! He is an impact player that MUST NOT fall to the Rams. He is like a young Terrell Owens, perfect for the WCO. He is big, strong, fast and can break tackles(check out his highlight reel). When do you see a wideout stiff arm a guy? He is a beast! Look at his YAC. He will get first downs when we need them and break away for touchdowns. You need players that will strike fear in the opposition. Nobody cares about Crabtree or the other guy. All they do is double Vernon. A.J. Green is a good receiver but I am not impressed with his breakaway speed. We need guys who will give us yards after catch. Julio Jones has it and if we don't get him he will terrorize us twice a year with the Rams. I know you guys think we don't need a wideout but we do and more importantly, keeping our main opponents from having him to use against us is an effective Sun Tzu strategy.

Doesn't that go for every position? Sometimes your QB is off his game, does that mean he's not invaluable???

Its just that No one after buffalo seems like a real threat to pick him. Cinci, Arz, and Cleveland don't really need a CB, so if he makes it past 3 and the next three teams don't draft purely on BPA, theres certainly a chance he makes it to us.

And obviously things will change after the combine. If Prince runs well, I'll have absolutely no problem taking him.

what are u talking about? if you wanna neutralize a great pass-rusher, you will need either a damn good o-line or a double team...latter one will open up some gaps for another pass-rushers.
but a single CB, somewhere on the side of the field is much easier to take out of the game without a big disadvantage for the offense...

the bills are a very big question mark...they could go either for green or for PP or another d-liner...anything would be very helpful for them.
if they have this choice, they will pass on a d-liner imo in first place...why? b/c they will surely get a nice d-liner with their 2nd-rounder; the d-line class is very deep again.
the green pick has the same logic imo, the WR class is also deep enough to wait until the 2nd-round BUT it's a question whether the bills will keep lee evans.
