I like his inteligence - high grade point average - and that he led the nation in passing accuracy (70%) not a bad starting point for a QB and as has been pointed out, he's run a pro-style offence.

I'm surprised people are saying he has a weak arm since his long passes on the video I've seen seemed to have decent strength and perhaps more importantly some decent touch.

I'm not looking for a QB that would start from day one from the draft but someone that could be developed by Harbaugh into a franschise QB for years to come. I like the look of Dalton and McEllroy and if we went with one of them in rounds 3 or 4 then we can get the CB and OLB we need in the first couple of rounds.

Didn't Vince Young also lead the nation in efficiency? It's not a true indication of a guy's accuracy.

It means more that McElroy had a higher comp. % in a pro-style offense than VY had in a spread offense

Game manager "who did more to not lose games than to win" to paraphrase a review on him. He did have Julio Jones to throw to which helped.

This guy is going to be great.... In the arena league!!!

I like him. But not too early. He is accurate and he is a winner.

It would take some time I believe for Harbaugh to mold him but I think he's a guy we should target because of his winning attitude and his calmness in the pocket.

He seems average to me, IMO. His situation is not so unlike Sanchez with the Jets - Powerful running game and Defense. Makes him look better than he really is.

I'm not saying lets build our franchise around him, I just think he'll be a nice late round QB and solid backup.
