I don't like coming in threads like this so early in the year, but somehow I'm always forced to do so. IF Luck comes out, we absolutely NEED to get him

You and me both. It's painfully obvious we need to make some changes

Schefter has tweeted that Mallett hasn't been impressive at all, I haven't watched him play, what do you guys think?
Not sure how I feel about this qb class, I might prefer to go after a vet like Vick or Orton

Mallett hasn't looked too good, Locker has played very poorly, and Ponder is mediocre right now. Luck is the only QB that has played well so far. He would be the number 1 guy if he declared.
Luck>Ponder>Mallett>Locker
That's just how I see it. Ponder is more of a game manager, but he doesn't make too many mistakes, so he gets he nod over Mallett
A guy I like is Nick Foles out of Arizona. Not flashy by any means, but he is extremely accurate. He could be a good late round pickup

I agree that we need a whole new out look on football things in the Bay. We look like a confused team out there, instead of reacting an playing some football. Starts with the coach an ends with the QB. See you later Alex Smith. You never know, Seattle might pick you up. HAHA Peace!

damn we would be picking too low for luck or mallett
Luck is going 1 overall so forget about him. Even if we suck VERY bad we wont be that bad.
Not so fast because teams with the number one pick are always looking to trade down. If that Niners have to trade up to get Luck. Then that's just what they have to do.
I can't remember the last time a team successfully traded for the #1 overall pick.

if the bills end up with the 1st ovr, they wont trade down, except of the situation with us as the 2nd ovr.

pretty sure it's gonna be harder to trade up since ridiculous rookie contracts are almost a lock to be a thing of the past
but for Luck I think it's worth it to trade a bunch of picks, we don't have too many glaring weaknesses elsewhere on the team
