Final Mock

The trade for Mcnabb and the LaBoy (OLB) and Ginn (WR) picks ups changed my mock. Last years draft was so much easier. Either we would get our Tackle or someone would fall. Oh well..here's my best guess as to how we go.

1a Clausen (QB Notre Dame)
1b Anthony Davis (OT Rutgers)

2 Akwasi Owusu-Ansah (CB Indiana)

3 Matt Tennant (C, Boston College)

4 Myron Lewis (FS Vanderbilt)

5 Ginn trade

6 Manase Tonga (FB Brigam Young)

7 Durrell Barry (TE Clemson)

I only try to predict the first three rounds - anything more is a complete crapshoot:

1a) Trent Williams (OT)
1b) Jerry Hughes / Brandon Graham (OLB)
2) John Jerry (OG)
3) Chris Cook (CB)

OR

1a) Joe Haden (CB)
1b) Jerry Hughes / Brandon Graham (OLB)
2) Charles Brown (OT)

Yeah, but I give myself half point for getting the position right. 10 zillion points for getting the player right

I wouldn't be completely upset if we drafted Clausen, but I just don't see it. Clausen just didn't impress me much. Sure he had some bright moments, but so has Alex Smith. I am still holding out hope for Alex, but the odds are against him.

I would just much rather wait until we know what Alex is going to do this year. If Clausen was an elite QB, I would be all for it. I just don't think he is going to be better than Alex Smith.

Also, I don't think we draft a FB.

Other than that I like your draft. I am really starting to like the Answa (whatever his name is) CB pick.
