My argument for what should be drafted with our first two picks

everyone is getting so attached to Spiller, he probably won't even be there when we pick

in a draft that has spiller Mckight and Best??

its not like its Shanny back there and he is going to game plan this guy in to the next Ricky Watters....

As a change of pace back special teamer and 3rd down back....

I would rather have The massive Guard and Best/Mcknight

Or the best available DL.
holy crap. can we PLEASE for once draft a OL early who actually pans out? stop beating around the bush and take a T early for once. late 1st/early 2nd round OL drafting has gotten us nowhere. go Bulaga at 13 please. then DB at 17. we can find speed with return skills on the f/a heap.

Yes please. If we're burning our first #1 on a non-tackle then it better be Berry

Drafting speed has worked well for the Raiders....so why not?

The raiders have holes everywhere and they dont have a foundation of good players like we do. The only thing we are really missing is speed.

Really???
NO to Spiller. Just not good value. HBs are a dime a dozen. Trent Williams at 13. And i'd rather take Wilson than Mays. I still think Mays will not live up to the hype, but will have a Roy Williams like career (1 amazing year a liability in the secondary) as he is not good in coverage, but can be deadly as a blitzer or knocking out players going over the middle. He will put fear into any WR thinking of going deep and will be good in pursuit with his speed. However in cover 1 or cover 0 (no safteys, man to man with a blitz) he is too big a liability and could be easily beat by a smart QB (pump fake or double move/ slugo by WR). Still his big body and massive hits will be game changing and he will not make a secondary worse (can only improve). Maybe he'll learn the fine skills of being a saftey (one of the thoughest positions, instinct are needed and the smallest error in position or footwork means a TD for the Offense)

Wot!!!?????? Is this a joke? The only thing we are really missing is an O line. We have some speed (VD for example) and can easily pick more up in the later rounds. But we need a starting tackle and a starting guard. And an OLB and a safety. We can draft OL later, certainly, but we need them to start from day 1. And that means an early pick.

I agree that talent on the OL needs addressing. But let's revenue why the line play in 09 was weak. INJURIES-center was the only constant, the rest were musical chairs [Continuity- Training camp philosophy was smash mouth, run up the gut, steal your lunch and eat it mentality. Game #6,due to injuries and defenses loading the box and jumping the short hot read routes,Hill is pulled and Smith is QB.Out with the old [training camp, preseason, first 6 game plans. At half time, a new philosophy, spread offense.Remember after that Singletary was always asked on monday,"when are you going to open up the offense?"And the answer was about familiarity, will the QB isn't the only one that applies to.The OL is a ballet of 300+lbs dancing bears, not a fire drill. So this begs the question, how bad is the talent level as compared to, how bad were the circumstances the OL endured? Plus the 2 new coaches and a stable, healthy new start can't hurt.
