I would rather have any of the other players at 18-23 rather than Mays.

Mays is a younger, quicker version of Michael Lewis. I wouldn't mind having him at all.

This year it's these.
Love: CJ Spiller.
Hate: Taylor Mays.
Everywhere in the U.S. other than the 49ersWZ Mays is a consensus 1st round pick and a super rare athlete. He wouldn't make a team worse. He would in fact make any team better.
Last year everyone was in love with Mays and wanted him to declare for the draft so the niners would take him

I think hes showing us players who didnt have a lot of picks in college but who have more in the pros, and some who had a lot in college but have few in the pros!
I say we take Williams, Iupati, and then trade up to get Jahvid Best to return kicks and play in the slot..

5 picks in a college career isn't bad. And you don't need to be an INT king to be a good FS/SS
People need to realize that Mays is a great team player and will do what ever you tell him to do. His career at USC is a great example of that. When he was concidered the best FS he had talent in from of him and that let him go anywhere. After they all left Mays was asked to play the deep man. He answered by recording close to 100 tackles. He is very coachable and will be a difference maker. Just look at the senior bowl. They asked him to be more of a ball hawk and have him that oppertunity, he answered with a INT in the red zone.

There is a lot of hate towards mays and i do not know why. He is a player that is coachable and has question marks about some area in his game just like every player at any position. That is why we have a coaching staff to help them learn the proper techniques to be an affective football player in the NFL.
