Who has more upside?
I am speaking of talent on the football field, minus the drinking and being tasered andd all of that stuff.
What does Bulaga bring to the table that Boone doesn't?

Re Bulaga, I like his quick feet, polished technique, the fact that he was coached by Kirk Ferentz, and how Bulaga performed in Iowa's bowl game. I am a little nervous about taking a LT and projecting him to the other side. That was one of the mistakes with Kwame Harris (flipping sides).
Haven't seen as much of Boone. He was reportedly undrafted because of slow feet. I understand that he has dropped wight and worked hard, but when it comes to quick feet - you either got 'em or you don't.

I guess we will see at the combine, the slow feet thing is why I compared these two.

Well, one is a consensus 1st rd draft pick, the other went undrafted. Other than being white there is no comparison. Even before Boone got drunk and went crazy he was rated a mid to late round prospect.

Where is Bulaga rated now, and where will he be rated after the combine?

Top 20 and combine won't affect that. Look what Andre Smith did last year, he still went top 10, right where he was slotted. OTs are the least affected by the combine.

They're both white, so they must be the same!

No, I just know that some people here on the zone watch certain player during the year because we have so many fans of different college football teams on here. So I wanted to see how much better Bulaga is than Boone.

Buluga is a top half of the 1st round prospect, whereas Boone, even before his drunken rampages was only considered a 4th or 5th rounder at best.

I agree with everything you said.......but the thing about the feet! There are quite literally dozens of foot work drills I can think of that can fix the problem, you just gotta wanna do the work!

They're not even close. Bulaga plays with much better technique and leverage, where boone got by on his size his whole life. Once you get to an elite level and are facing guys your size, technique is the difference between boom or bust.
