Favre or Alex Smith?

okay I ended up with both these guys, who should I start in week one?

Favre

I have favre as well.

Last time he played the saints he had 310 yards 1 td and 2 ints.

He will be without Rice but will be playing for revenge.

okay thanks, I really don't know about Favre this season, he might have pushed his luck, but in big games he will rack up some yard and TD's I hope. Not really sure about Alex Smith vs Seattle.

I'm hesitant about Favre in his first game because he has been obviously rusty, and he's missing a lot of weapons right now.

Then again, your other option is Smith, who is a big question mark. I have Smith as well, but he's on my bench. It wasn't hard for me to choose between him and Rodgers.

who is he going to throw to? At least Alex is playing a weak defense. Farve is playing in NO on opening night. That place is going to be crazy. I think Drew is gonna blow them out.

I agree. I know that Favre obviously has had a way better career than Smith, but you have to look at what they will do this season.

Favre may want revenge but the Saints won't just let him get it. Plus Smith seems to be taking care of the ball more.

Either way you're going to have to go with your gut. Mine says Favre won't be relevant this year. Part of it is also hope he won't have a good year so he finally retires for the last damn time.

Still has Berrian, still has Shiancoe, most likely will have harvin

Berrian and Shaincoe were the two top WRs in the game last year. Yes, more coverage will go to them because Rice is out, but the saints wont have darren sharper either.

Not saying the vikings will win, but I think Farve will do ok fantasy wise....

You're kidding right? Berrian was hardly fantasy relevant last year, trust me I would know, I had him. He was 52 in points for WR for ESPN.

Shiancoe is good, but he's a TE not a WR, and he wasn't the best in the league last year. ESPN points wise he was 6th.

Favre has looked like crap so far, and my thinking is he will stay that way this year and will be injured by week 8.

SO GLAD i LISTENED TO CRZY on this one. lol
