First Round Mock Draft Version 3.0: Post-Eagles Trade

The mock draft landscape has changed drastically in less than a week. Once populated by the Tennessee Titans and the Cleveland Browns, the top two selections in next week's NFL Draft are now owned by the Los Angeles Rams and the Philadelphia Eagles thanks to a couple of blockbuster trades.
Here's a look at how the first round of the 2016 NFL Draft might shape up based on current needs for each NFL team. The draft kicks off on Thursday, April 28th at the Auditorium Theatre in Chicago. Version 2.0 of my mock draft can be

1) Los Angeles Rams - Jared Goff, QB, California
The Rams choose the upside of Goff over Wentz.
2) Philadelphia Eagles - Carson Wentz, QB, North Dakota State

We will get a starter at 7, Buckner / Tunsil / Bosa are fine additions, I don't think we will take a chance on Jack, but I like his potential as well. Our needs are Pass rush and O line, these area must be addressed with our picks 1-4

I would be happy if this is the way it happens. My concern is that Jack's knee is scaring people off so that Buckner is gone by the time we draft. But
if we get him and sign Josh Norman our D is instantly much more dangerous. And we have the ammo in draft picks to move into the late 1st round to add another pass rusher. Just dreaming!

49ers sign 6th-round draft pick Jarrett Kingston to 4-yr, $4.16 million rookie deal
The San Francisco 49ers have reportedly signed former USC offensive lineman Jarrett Kingston to his rookie four-year deal. The team made him a sixth-round draft pick, selecting him 215th overall in the 2024 NFL Draft. This leaves wide receiver Ricky Pearsall, the team's first-round selection, as the only unsigned 49ers draft pick.
According to OverTheCap.com, Kingston's four-year contract is worth about $4.16 million. This includes a signing bonus of approximately $138,000 and a 2024 salary-cap hit of about $830,000.
When asked about his pre-draft evaluations, Kingston said, "I feel like I am athletic. I think whatever like the ratings were, but I feel like I'm really athletic. I think my background playing all these different positions, like defensive and tight
49ers invest in physicality with first two draft picks
Draft analysts have declared that the San Francisco 49ers reached with their first two selections, adding wide receiver Ricky Pearsall with the No. 31 overall pick, a move few saw coming, and then cornerback Renardo Green in the second round. We'll have to wait to see their play on the field to determine whether critics are right or wrong, but the Niners acquired some toughness with the two rookies.
49ers director of player personnel Tariq Ahmad recently praised the team's top two selections, making it clear that their toughness on the football field significantly contributed to the decision to draft them.

49ers' Brock Purdy reflects on NFCCG, first start, surgery recovery, family's Tom Brady plans
On Thursday night, Brock Purdy joined several former San Francisco 49ers quarterbacks at the Dwight Clark Legacy Series event in San Jose. During the event, Matt Maiocco of NBC Sports Bay Area, one of the moderators, asked the 24-year-old to rewind a couple of years and reflect on how he burst onto the NFL scene in 2022.
Purdy's first significant playing time came when the 49ers lost two quarterbacks that season—first Trey Lance and then Jimmy Garoppolo. Purdy stepped in for Garoppolo against the Miami Dolphins, unaware that he would be the starter moving forward.
