GLENDALE, Ariz., — The 49ers position group that once had the most depth could have suffered another injury in the team’s 41-22 win over the Arizona Cardinals on Sunday at State Farm Stadium. Tatum Bethune, who took over for linebacker Fred Warner after the All-Pro’s season-ending ankle injury in Week 6, incurred his own ankle injury in the first half of Sunday’s game. The second-year pro was seen wearing a walking boot after the game, clearly disappointed that he could not finish the contest. Bethune also was given a ride on a cart to the team buses, which were located on the other side of the stadium. After the game, coach Kyle Shanahan said he did not have any additional details about the injury, but that there would be further tests, likely an MRI, done when the team returns to the Bay Area on Monday. The injury happened early in the second quarter, when Bethune was in the process of tackling Cardinals running back Emari Demercado.
