The San Francisco 49ers are hosting former Las Vegas Raiders pass rusher Arden Key, per Ian Rapoport of NFL Network. The Raiders waived him on April 15.

Key went to Instagram and called being waived by the Raiders the "best thing that could have happened to me!"

"I love football, I love my community, and I will prove to the world that Arden Key is here to be an example and role model for what's possible when you have the mindset of impact over everything!" added Key in the post. "I will not only impact the next team I play for in a positive way, but I will impact the community that looks up to me in a bigger way!"

The then-Oakland Raiders made Key a third-round selection out of LSU in 2018. He registered 15 tackles, two tackles for a loss, 11 quarterback hits, and two passes defensed through 14 games in 2020, per Pro Football Reference.

Key, 24, has recorded 49 tackles, three sacks, and two passes defensed through his three NFL seasons. San Francisco may be looking to add depth along the defensive line before next week's draft or doing some early homework on a player who could be added later.
