Three down, and two to go. The busy week continues for San Francisco 49ers defensive coordinator Robert Saleh, who will have been interviewed by five of the six NFL teams with head-coaching vacancies by the end of Saturday.
The New York Jets report that Saleh has completed his interview with them. It was his third known interview of the week. Saleh interviewed with the Atlanta Falcons on Monday night and then the Detroit Lions on Thursday.
Saleh's two remaining interviews will be on Saturday when he speaks with the Jacksonville Jaguars and the Los Angeles Chargers. The Houston Texans are the lone team with a head-coaching vacancy that has yet to request an interview with the defensive coordinator.
Saleh, 41, just completed his fourth season as the 49ers' defensive coordinator under head coach Kyle Shanahan. He spent time as an assistant coach with the Jaguars, Seattle Seahawks, and Texans before that.
