This is what I mean when I say his technique and fundamentals are really good. Valdez fires off the ball with excellent snap anticipation. He's the first one off the ball! Attacks McGlinchey with low pads; lands hands inside, extends arms, and runs his feet; keeps his hat in his gap, locates the ball and fights to get off the block. I think this may have been the play that he drew a flag for holding on McGlinchey? Not sure but looks like he was held. Man, Valdez is playing good ball. He consistently plays on the other side of the line of scrimmage and stays square to the ball. I wish we could put this guy's skill and technique inside Alfred Collins body. That would be a scary player.

The motor and power gives me Justin Smith flashbacks. He's never going back to a practice squad.

This guy is a player. Seems to be at least a good rotation guy.

Hopefully another 10 more.
He's playing really good. Better than a practice squad player. I'm not sure why they always have him pushed so far down. He should be in the rotation at least. I think he's that good. Certainly with our injuries he is.

He has been fantastic which does make me question wtf they see in practice. If nothing else this should prove to Kyle and co they need to get these guys in real games often and early to see what they have.

Think the issue was they had high draft picks last year they couldn't just cut. Now that we've seen his ability, those guys become expendable. I expect us to bring in more talent and could see Collins and West cut or traded. That said, they could turn it around like other young guys have for us.

I get that, and it reminds me of the Kyle to Jed story about Brock being the best, but I wish the culture was regardless of draft position, play who looks the best etc. I think that mindset would have to come from Jed on down. Of course, they would have to look in the mirror about bombing high picks, but if late picks or UDFA are fantastic who gives a f as long as we win. The mid to late round gems have defined this regime.
He's not getting the Halton love, but having a similar impact. CW and Collins seem to let the OL fire into them, where Halton, Valdez, and Osa take the fight to the other side of the OL. Love it Raheem! Coach 'em up.

Maybe we're leaning that way more now. Considering we kept Thompson on the active roster and moved West to IR instead.
A little help from the secondary, but good things happen when you fire off the ball and attack, win inside hands and don't stop running your feet.
