Dang it was ruptured. I wonder if they can put some titanium string in there like Brock's elbow brace so it's better than ever and more durable.
Further testing revealed that #49ers De'Zhaun Stribling had a deltoid rupture rather than a deltoid sprain, which is why surgery was performed, per @RapSheet

They said 4 weeks and he is fine. Man our doctors and training staff are such a joke. Next you will hear about delays and setbacks in his rehab and he is out for the season.
They didn't say that though. The fact that it wasn't an achilles like most expected was a good news situation but there was still a lot of uncertainty around the injury. The report said minimal 4 weeks and even with that report there was uncertainty in whether or not he'd be ok without surgery.
My bigger issue was them missing it with him going out there without the ankle even being taped up.
Seems like such a rare injury that the standard sideline tests aren't designed to look for it. So probably something to consider adjusting. (So they'll test for it for the next 20 years and it'll never come up again, but what else can you do?)
Wow. You've never had a doctor miss a health issue when you've had a checkup? You've been lucky if you haven't.
I'm not sure I follow you?
