Those they have are 'capable'. Perhaps the team is counting on a better pass rush to make it happen.

If Forester wanted him he'd be in SF. Honestly though I think it's Robert Jones job to lose.

Dude is 36 years old and mostly played Right Guard for most of his career. So that limited his upside already.

For the 49ers, it's a bit more nuanced. Either we move Puni to LG and ask Zeitler to take a budget deal at RG, or we ask him to sign a budget deal AND play at a new position at LG, knowing that if he doesn't play well, we'll just plug young blood at the spot instead.

That's why I'm fine with seeing what the 49ers got in pre-season. If we need a vet, we can sign one of them and get them up and running fairly quick.

Points to Bitonio. 2 years younger, LG. Last injury was 10 years ago. Shows up on virtually 100% of the snaps per Sportrac. He could buy us 2 more years to find a long term answer.

Their pff rankings are pretty similar compared to Zeitler, but like someone mentioned already if they really wanted them here they would be here by now.

we definitely have the space for him, but we'll see.

At worst, Joey Bosa will give you Bryce huff production last season. But I think he'll be solid playing on the same D-line with his brother, not to mention Osa on their too. I would love to see a 5-man front with Bosa bros, Osa, Mykel and Alfred or CJ West.
