Luciano claimed by the Pirates. So we lost our former top prospect for nothing…🙄

Saw that coming

There was no opening on this roster for him. He can't play in the field very well and they don't need another DH.
Jeff Kent has been elected to the Hall of Fame.

Its hard to even feel happy for him when the only reason he even had a chance at the HOF is because the guy the voters are keeping out protected him in the lineup.

One of the best hitting second baseman of all time. He deserves to be in. Did he benefit from hitting behind Bonds? Of course. But he still was a great hitter. And we all know why Bonds isnt in

Kind of a disservice Kent. He was a great player

He had the most HR of any 2B in history. Kent hit behind Bonds, not in front of him. His only benefit was having Bonds on base a lot, so he was more likely to drive in runs with his hits. He also only played with Bonds for 6 of his 17 career seasons.
Those voters really do hate Bonds.

They hate most of all of the known and/or highly suspected steroid users.

I'm not saying I agree with the steroid use, but that does not mean I support the voters or the suspect voting process.

Not entirely true. They voted in some players that were suspected and at least one that was stringly implicated. Big Papi. All he did was DH and he's in. What joke. They liked him because he was funny and nice to the press. If Bonds had been friendlier he might be in too. They use the steroid accusations as the reason but I think his treatment of the press has as much to do with it as anything. He brought this on himself and he knows it. Writers can be vindictive pricks.

I know why he isnt in, but thats a different conversation. I think he deserves to be in too, its just hard to celebrate it when the petty writers continue to keep Bonds out.

Never said he wasnt. Just is hard to feel happy and celebrate him going to the Hall when Bonds is repeatedly kept out for petty reasons.

Thanks for agreeing with me and then saying we disagreed. Saying most aren't in leaves room for some getting in.
