Otherwise it's just another irrelevant type trade.

No money to pay + no high draft picks to give away. Too much of a gamble. Wait for the injured to return or get injured again.

That would be like a slap in the face. Cam Ward is only in his 2nd year. It would suggest that patience is not a virtue in the league.

For us, our firsts aren't worth as much right now. Probably would need to give up a lot maybe even an additional player.

2027 & 2028 firsts, 2028 third + Jordan Watkins could be the type of package required.

What receiver has ever gone for that kind of compensation?

Isn't the most ever a 1st and a 3rd?

I'd give a 2027 1st and a 2028 3rd + Watkins/Cowing

FWIW, Jonnydel has recently been on defending spree with tape of how great Buckner is going to be for us... especially in the run defense...

I don't trust the grades.. if the LB made or didn't make the play it counts towards the DL?

I'm not too sure about that, but Del's posted alot of tape of how Buck is greater than what the stats say....

Just need Colby to start treading to the top right.

Everyone just needs to stay in that top right area and wait for Colby to join them.

Colby I think is on track. He did get dominated a bit by Atlanta but the Falcons are great at getting after the quarterback organically. Under defensive coordinator Jeff Ulbrich, they rank 4th in the league with a 41.4% pressure rate while dropping back into a lower-blitz scheme than previous seasons. So he did as well as any could against that line - as a 2nd year player.

Prysock makes me nervous AF. What veterans are out there?

Might as well find out how Ephesians has improved since training camp and see if he flashes any ability in a real game. That would help them see what they have and help them in next years draft as well.

If he's the first off the bench, then he had to have improved since training camp. No way the 49ers coaching staff let anyone on the field half-assing it.

He *should* be developed enough to put him in a couple of plays. Its already half the season. I think its a risk they can take especially with Bosa and Buckner back. He'll feast on some interceptions with this revamped DLine.

Ya know what? I think you're right. And, as luck would have it, Salad is suddenly armed with a bunch of first round picks. I did not even consider that. But, now that I look at it from your perspective, I think you're right. Question is, does Mac want to go to Tennessee? I think Mac has to approve any trade. Tennessee isn't the greatest of markets, even if he does well there.

Agree 💯 %, Tennessee and Mac (on paper) would be a great match. I hope Saleh offers Kyle a draft deal he can't refuse (to use Billbird2111's) quotes.

i'd say it would be george pickens level comp

None of that negates his point.
The Jets have zero interest in trading him, so a team has to make an offer so absurd it makes them willing to cripple their rookie QB.
You value him at a 1st and 3rd whe saying at any cost. I value him at two 1sts, and two 2nds.

That 1st and 3rd you are offering, i would be hoping to get Wilson out of it. So why should i give up Wilson for the 32nd and 96th pick?

Thank GOODNESS you're not in charge.

Would I like Wilson? Sure. But we're really, really starting to overrate him at this point. I get coveting a long-term WR1, but he's never had more than 1104 yards in a season (and we're in the 17-game era), has never been top 10 in WR receiving yards, has never made All-Pro or even Pro Bowl, he already has a recent injury history, and his rookie deal is already done.

He is not worth two 1sts, let alone two 1sts AND two 2nds. The entire league would laugh at us if we made that trade.

I would be happy to have him but for only one 1st and some change. Not two 1sts or a quarterback draft capital package lmao. His absolute ceiling is a Devante Adams trade package (1st 2nd).

Deandre Hopkins, Devante Adams, Tyreek Hill all had better resumes than Garrett Wilson does. None were traded for two 1sts.

The only WR in this era to get traded for an equivalent of two 1sts is OBJ, and his resume was much better than Wilson's, too.

Once again, anything more than a 1st + 3rd for Wilson is robbery by the Jets.

If you read my post again you might see i was giving the Jets PoV. It may not have been clear, and that is my fault.

So i ask it here. Why would a team, that is not desperate for picks or cap space, trade a player for the 32nd and 96th pick? Picking 32nd you dream to get a player of Wilson's caliber.

You want my young dynamic WR? The one i want for my rookie QB next year? the price is two 1sts and two 2nds, and for questiong my price i want YOUR 4th this year.

The 49ers do not set the price, the Jets do.

In these conversations I try to look at who's realistically available. Generally not younger building block pieces who aren't being shopped by their team.
