Nobody is "toughing it out" and playing through a torn ACL, and this is why I hate sometimes trying to talk football with people who never played sports before. Most injuries are just part of the sport and have nothing to do with toughness or durability. If your joints/ligaments bend sharply in a wrong way on a hit, it's a wrap. Doesn't f**king matter who you are.

For bar trivia purposes QB Philip Rivers played a playoff game on a torn ACL

Hines Ward played without a ACL for his entire career

The tease here is brutal! Wilson would be incredible if it could happen.

Side note: Kay Adams....

Can you people focus and talk about the trade. Don't worry about how hot Kay Adam's is, let me worry about that!!!

I will thumb wrestle you so hard for her

She seems like she'd be down for pulling a threesome if you gave her some booze...

I don't know I think Kolohe will make lightsaber sounds

There are several NFL analysts that have said as long as Kyle makes bad decisions in high pressure games like championship games and super bowls he will never win a super bowl.

That said, I am glad Kyle is our coach and I think he is a good coach. He's likable and other players like Evans take pay cuts to come play for him. He has to be better though.

So NFL analysts are saying Kyle's teams won't win a title if he is making bad decisions in big games?

Very insightful from them.

A reporter should ask if he still enjoys the same song and dance.

He also said he loves being with the Jets, but that he loves winning more, which doesn't exactly sound like he's 100% committed to staying there.

I think if he truly contributes to this team winning a SB, or especially 2 he has a legitimate shot. Will Chris Jones make the HOF?

Chris Jones will probably make it because of his impact in Super Bowls.

That's pretty crazy man.

Yes. It's a narrative since last year that the 49ers organization has been writing. Last year with a bad team we had an easy schedule and beat the teams we were supposed to. But we lost the must win games against good teams at home against Rams and Seattle and blown out. We won in playoffs against a shady philly team and then game over in first quarter at seattle. There was no narrative.

Hopefully the Atlanta game will finally stop that narrative. The organization was seeing how far that narrative could be pushed. Vegas never bought the narrative as they had 49ers favored 2.5 although i'm
surprised we were not 2 point underdogs.

Theoretically an extra year without having to pay them.

i think he meant that is a disadvantage and that is why we traded down

Yes some teams have changed who they draft in the bottom of round 1 based on the 5th year player option

Positions like OG and OC are the most impacted bc they get a price thst includes OT contracts

Colby allowed 5 pressures yesterday.

Outside of 1 or 2 games, Colby has been awful in pass protection. I hold my breath every time he has a 1-on-1. However, I think he's good enough in the run game that it'll allow him to keep his job. At this point, it feels unlikely that someone from the outside will come in and integrate on the fly. They've got to roll with the guys you've got and hope Colby or someone else steps up.

It's literally groundhog day every year, and we've seen how this story ends.

Hopefully, he continues to improve game in and game out, year in and year out like Mckivitz. He's still a young player. I think think he's currently better at LG than any of our backup OLinemen who can step into the LG position (Carver, Patterson, or Nugent).

Personally, I think, a good DB is more of a need in this years playoff run versus another OLineman.

Both are of need, Jones needs to be away from us lol. I think we need a left guard if we are going to compete. We can cover Brendle with Juice if needed. The center of our line was crushed by Atlanta.

Every player that isn't a 49er wishes they were a 49er, so I'm sure he'd be interested if we were one of the teams trying to trade for him. He just doesn't want to go from the Jets to some other bum team like the Chiefs, Rams, or Seahawks.

I mean you could see how heavy CMC was going to be used in that game until he went out, and of course in the past as well. Kyle has consistently used his best players heavily.

Not to mention, outside of the view of a tiny minority of people, Kyle is well established as an elite coach already.
