one thing on wilson is his stats suck and we all know why it's cuz the jets suck and their qb isn't good and has never been good his entire career, so it's not a knock on wilson but if he caught 45 balls last year we should get a discount

This is exactly why I knew Simmons was available, and how I know Wilson is available, too.
Eventually, the other team is going to say yes to an overpay. Just a matter of if Wilson is worth overpaying for or not.

Simmons is very different due to his contract status
Buckner is a 1 year rental
Simmons just got extended and is signed through 2030
Titans have to deal with the guaranteed money cap problems and the Bears get a star at locked in cost (approx. 32 million a year)

The NFL is a little more fun when the Bears are good, but they're not good very often. They have the coach and they may have the QB, but I don't know if Simmons is enough to transform that defense.
Buckner is three years older, but he's actually has more sacks than Simmons since 2019 on. The Bears, the other team that wanted Buck, paid a steep price for Simmons. The Niners got the better deal here.
