And they likely dont want to lose a huge chunk of that space.

"baseless" because of the financial hit NY takes in trading him
"You know what naw. I'm focused on the things that I can control. At the end of the day, I have no clue on stuff like that."Well the guy asked him if he has or will ask for a trade and his answer at the end of it was that he has no clue.
"Of course I want to be here. Yea I want to be here. I want to win games and that's the one thing we've been missing out here. I love it here. Do I love it more than I love winning? Nah, to be completely honest."

I'd some in-game decisions are shady as well. Sometimes he gets too pass happy when the game calls for just running it. Did it both SBs.
Cue genus posting play by play in 3…2…1…

I've never been the best optimistic guy, but I've found a way and dug deep, and I've been optimistic for three, four, five years now. And that's why these [losses] each weekend hurt a little more.Yeah, I want to be here, man," Wilson said. "I want to win games and that's the one thing we've been missing on here. I love it here. Do I love it more than I love winning? Nah, to be completely honest, but I'm hopeful.Doesn't sound like a guy that's enjoying himself. Sure he's going to say the right things PR wise and say he wants to stay to the media out in the open. But the stuff from Rapoport about "baseless trade speculation" is bonkers to me. This is a losing organization that:
1. Isn't going anywhere this year.
2. Has had and continues to have unstable play at the QB position.
3. Is going to likely have a rookie QB next year which means a high probability of another mediocre non playoff season.
4. Has traded young building blocks before in Quinnen Williams / Sauce Gardner who were 27 and 24 respectively.
It's not "baseless" to speculate him being traded. Wilson is a very talented receiver but isn't a Top 10 player at the WR position on anyone's list. If the Jets can get a 1st plus more for him why wouldn't they? They would guarantee themselves whatever QB they want in the draft and would have plenty of picks to help build around that prospect.
Garrett Wilson himself said it. He's sat around for 5 years and has done nothing but lose. He's more than likely going to do it again next year. Behind closed doors, he wants out.

Agree that was a mistake, but disagree it's all that meaningful (in terms of forming a judgement of Kyle's ability as a coach).
Some of Kyle's warts IMO are clock management and pacing issues.
The thing is that he's not the only coach that has these particular warts… some of whom are Super Bowl winners… and all coaches have warts of some type.

You dont move on from Steph Curry unless he demands a trade. The guy has given more to his organization and the community than possibly any athlete ever. Trading him would have alienated the fan base for years.
I get it but I would rather build for the future.

bipolar corner play
Hmm... On every single highlight I saw of his play, which usually happened after the WR he was covering caught a pass, Jones was stumbling and bumbling along. One cut was all it took for Jones to start stumbling around. I saw this more than one. Two to three times I believe. So, I'm kind of wondering why they signed him to begin with. Plus, why it took so long to let him go.

What is with all this Wilson talk? I live in NY and the Jets have given zero indication he's available.
I just saw that Wilson said he doesn't want to be traded.
Read the whole quote.

What a bunch of CRYBABIES!!!!!!!!!
y'all better be preparing for next year coz Bosa is going to be extended,... his contract is going to be negotiated and extended,... he's going to be a 49er for life,.... and completely deserved coz he's one of the top pass-rushers in this league
and for all those complaining 24/7 (and there are tons here) about his injuries, that he's unavalaible, he's missing games, blah, blah, blah,..... just let them know that apart from the 2 ACL tears (which are only bad luck, there are no players prone to tear their ACLs,... only bad luck and the best example of it is Frank Gore) the rest of the seasons he has missed 4 games,.... 4 GAMES:
- 2019: played the 16 games
- 2021:played the 17 games
- 2022: missed 1 from 17 games
- 2023; played the 17 games
- 2024: missed 3 from 17 games
and this season, next game is going to be the 5th he'll miss after a setback from the ACL injury which is a very common thing to happen,... and he will be back after the bye,.... so suck it up and stop crying!
^^This.
Bosa has unfortunately torn his ACL not only 2x since being drafted, but both times it happened in the first couple weeks of the season, which lead to 14-15 games being missed per year, as opposed to a player who tears it mid season or later.
Nobody is "toughing it out" and playing through a torn ACL, and this is why I hate sometimes trying to talk football with people who never played sports before. Most injuries are just part of the sport and have nothing to do with toughness or durability. If your joints/ligaments bend sharply in a wrong way on a hit, it's a wrap. Doesn't f**king matter who you are.
On top of that, Bosa is a DPOY, likely HOFer and a big time impact player. You're not replacing a player like Bosa untes you have a Top 3 pick in the draft.
Bosa is HoF talent but needs to have a better resume to make it to the Hall. I hope he spends every year here in SF but just being real you don't make it to the hall with a couple of good years
