How could one brand (smackdown) become vastly superior than the other (raw); both ran by the same company?

The IIconics were the only true tag team to hold the women's tag belts. The other teams were just singles stars thrown together.

KO is the man. Its not like I AVOID AEW, I've just lost a bit of interest in wrestling over the last few years. I do my best to keep up w/ WWE and its hard to watch AEW when I don't even know 99% of the people.
