AEW is postponing this week's New Year's Smash show to next week (Jan 6th). This week will be a tribute to Brodie Lee and every match will feature Dark Order members teaming with babyfaces.

Cody Rhodes, Orange Cassidy, and 10 vs. Brian Cage, Powerhouse Hobbs, and Ricky Starks.

The Young Bucks and Colt Cabana vs. Matt Hardy and Private Party.

Hangman Page, John Silver, and Alex Reynolds vs. MJF, Santana, and Ortiz.

Anna Jay and Tay Conti vs. Britt Baker and Penelope Ford.

Lance Archer, Evil Uno, and Stu Grayson vs. Eddie Kingston, The Butcher, and The Blade.

-1 is Brodie Lee's son Brodie, he was given his own Dark Order number.

Also a little more on Brodie :

Some information is starting to come out which provides a few answers, while remaining respectful of the Huber family's privacy. On the latest edition of Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer reported that in order to sell the brutality of their Dog Collar match, AEW planned to keep Lee off television for a few weeks following his TNT title loss to Rhodes. During a Peloton workout he was doing while on that scheduled break, Lee experienced tiredness, to the point he could not finish his session.

His condition continued to get worse. Meltzer said, "essentially, his lungs stopped working," which echoes the information made public by Lee's widow Amanda Huber that her husband died of a non-COVID-related lung condition. By the end of October, Brodie was hospitalized at The Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville, Florida.

AEW officials were aware Lee's condition was grave, but kept it quiet at the family's request. Fightful corroborated this detail of Meltzer's report, saying members of the AEW roster & staff they spoke to had known of Brodie's situation since early November. Those who spoke to Fightful said "they wanted to dispel the idea that anything scandalous happened".

Obvious respiratory failure, just not sure what specific lung disease it is.

Add to that, Colt trying to keep it together before the match...same for Hangman. And Silver losing it after the match, you could legit tell he was heavily sobbing.

AEW doing right by him, all the feels tonight.
